(2007 The Church set up a task force to look at the IRS for 501-3C non-profit status requirements for groups in the Church. In 2009 the task force was change to the "Study" committee to look at the United Thank Offering and make recommendations for its future path. In particular as you review this document, please note the phrase "autonomous yet interdependent" used with emphasis five (5) times in the document.
